Operation Christmas Child
SHOEBOXES ARRIVE OCTOBER 26!
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
How to Get Involved
- PACK AT HOME - Pick up a box or a few as you exit church on Sundays, or in the church office during the week. Fill and return to the OCC table in the Worship Center Atrium.
- PACK AT CHURCH - We're having a CHURCHWIDE PACKING PARTY on November 15 in the Fellowship Center, 9am-3pm Come & Go. Join us! Also, some of our volunteers have been meeting to pack shoeboxes in small groups. Purchase and drop off items for volunteers to pack. Or bring the items you have purchased and join your friends for a mini packing party. Call the Church Office to schedule a time.
- PACK ONLINE - One of the easiest ways to bless a child is to pack a shoebox online. Click Here, choose an age group and items for your box. You can even include a personal note. Operation Christmas Child will pack and ship your shoebox for you for $25.
