Specialists
(Lay Positions)

Your Skills Matter. Your Impact Lasts.

Specialists are more than volunteers—they are partners in ministry who bring their unique skills and experience to strengthen the church. These volunteers typically serve between 2–10 hours per week (they decide) during office hours (Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:00pm). The role is designed with retirees and non-working professionals in mind, providing meaningful opportunities to use specialized expertise to bless the church and community.

    Facilities Manager (Full Time)

    Valley Ridge Church will soon be seeking a Facilities Manager to help us care for the spaces where ministry happens every day. Our campus includes approximately 175,000 square feet across 22 acres and hosts numerous worship services, ministries, activities, and special events each month.

    The Facilities Manager will oversee the daily care, maintenance, safety, and readiness of our campus. This person will lead our custodial staff and coordinate with outside vendors who provide landscaping, maintenance, repair, and other facility-support services.

    We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, dependable, and able to balance long-term planning with the unexpected needs that naturally arise on a busy church campus. More than simply managing buildings and grounds, we hope this person will see their work as ministry and become an active, engaged part of the life of Valley Ridge Church.

    Facility Rentals & Events Coordinator (Part Time)

    Valley Ridge Church will soon be seeking a part-time Facility Rentals & Events Coordinator to help connect outside organizations with the many possibilities available on our campus. This person will identify potential partners, promote our facilities, respond to inquiries, conduct campus tours, and help secure rental agreements for times when our facilities are not being used for church ministries and activities.

    Our beautiful 22-acre campus includes approximately 175,000 square feet and offers spaces suitable for concerts, family events, conferences, conventions, exhibits, and other large gatherings. Conveniently located in the heart of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, near DFW International Airport and many area attractions, Valley Ridge Church provides an accessible and attractive setting for a wide variety of events.

    This flexible, part-time position does not require set office hours, but it does require availability for face-to-face meetings with church staff and prospective renters. The coordinator will work closely with our church staff and Facilities Manager to evaluate opportunities, coordinate schedules, communicate expectations, and ensure each event fits well within the life and operations of the church. We are looking for someone who is personable, proactive, organized, and comfortable building relationships and turning promising leads into successful partnerships.
